Best hotels in Umeda Osaka: choose the station side first
The best hotels in Umeda Osaka are not simply the properties with the shortest-looking distance to “Osaka Station.” Osaka’s northern transport hub is a cluster of separate JR, Hankyu, Hanshin and Osaka Metro stations, and the wrong side can add an awkward underground walk every morning.
For JR day trips to Kyoto, Kobe and Himeji, stay at or immediately beside JR Osaka Station. Hotel Granvia Osaka and THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL are the simplest choices. For Hankyu trains, Yodobashi and the north side, Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE Osaka and Hotel Vischio Osaka are better positioned. For the new Umekita and Grand Green side, Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE Osaka, Canopy by Hilton and InterContinental Osaka make more sense. If airport limousine buses from Herbis Osaka are a priority, look west or southwest rather than assuming every Umeda hotel is equally convenient.
If Umeda is only one part of a longer city stay, see our Osaka travel guide before deciding whether northern Osaka is the right base.
Osaka Station and Umeda are not one station
| Transport node / side | Most useful for | Main hotel zone | Main drawback |
|---|---|---|---|
| JR Osaka Station | JR trains toward Kyoto, Kobe, Himeji and Shin-Osaka; Osaka Loop Line; airport rail | Station core, south and west | The station itself has multiple gates, so “next to Osaka Station” still needs a gate check |
| North / Umekita side | Grand Green Osaka, Grand Front Osaka, newer JR West/Umekita access | North and northwest of JR Osaka | Longer walk to Hankyu/Hanshin or east-Umeda destinations from some hotels |
| Hankyu Osaka-Umeda | Hankyu services toward Kyoto-Kawaramachi, Kobe-Sannomiya and Takarazuka | North/northeast Umeda | Not the same station as JR Osaka; crossing the complex with suitcases can be tiresome |
| Hanshin Osaka-Umeda | Hanshin services toward Kobe and through-services farther west | Southwest of the station core | Less convenient from hotels well north of JR Osaka |
| Higashi-Umeda | Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line, east-Umeda dining and Sonezaki | East/southeast Umeda | East-side hotels can be a noticeably longer walk from JR West/Umekita platforms |
| Nishi-Umeda / Herbis | Yotsubashi Line, west Umeda, airport limousine buses, JR West Gate | West/southwest Umeda | Less convenient for Hankyu departures on the northeast side |
Airport bus convenience and direct rail access are different things. Herbis Osaka, Hankyu Sanbangai and other Osaka Station-area bus stops serve different airport services and individual departures. Always check the current operator timetable before travel rather than choosing a hotel on the assumption that every KIX or Itami bus uses the same stop.

| Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka | Kitashinchi, bath and laundry | South/southeast | Not genuinely JR-platform-adjacent |
| Villa Fontaine Grand Osaka Umeda | Higashi-Umeda and spa facilities | East | Longer route to west/Umekita transport |

1. Hotel Granvia Osaka-JR Hotel Group

If your itinerary is dominated by JR trains, Hotel Granvia Osaka is one of the most practical addresses in Umeda. The hotel is directly connected to JR Osaka Station, so there is no need to interpret “near the station” as a multi-block walk after a day trip.
The detail that matters is the gate. The hotel publishes separate approaches from JR Osaka Station’s Central Gate, Sakurabashi Gate, Bridge Gate and West Gate. The Central and Sakurabashi routes are the shortest conventional approaches, while the Bridge Gate provides an elevator-based barrier-free route. Travellers arriving on services using the underground platforms, including the Haruka, can use the West Gate route.
- Best for: travellers making repeated JR day trips to Kyoto, Kobe or Himeji; short Shin-Osaka connections; anyone who wants to minimise outdoor luggage movement.
- Station side: directly at JR Osaka Station on the south/station-core side.
- Verified practical point: the hotel publishes triple, family and universal room categories, but capacity varies by room type, so families should book against the exact occupancy shown for their chosen category.
- Booking caution: “station-direct” does not mean every JR gate leads to the lobby equally quickly. The front desk is on an upper floor, and late-night entrance arrangements differ from daytime routes.
2. THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL, Autograph Collection

This is the strongest west-side choice if you want a premium hotel without sacrificing JR convenience. THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL has direct access from JR Osaka Station’s West Gate and is also connected through the pedestrian-deck and underground networks around JP TOWER OSAKA.
It is especially useful for airport travellers. The hotel’s official access information routes Haruka passengers from JR Osaka Station’s underground platform toward the West Gate, while Herbis Osaka—the major west-Umeda limousine-bus terminal—is nearby. That makes the hotel unusually flexible if you have not yet decided between rail and bus for the airport.
- Best for: premium stays, KIX by Haruka, Herbis airport buses, large luggage and travellers using JR heavily.
- Station side: JR Osaka West Gate / JP TOWER OSAKA.
- Verified practical point: the hotel publishes connecting-room availability in selected accommodation inventory, which can be useful for families who need separate rooms rather than trying to fit everyone into a standard twin.
- Booking caution: this is a west-side hotel. If your daily transport is primarily Hankyu Osaka-Umeda, you still need to cross the station complex. After midnight, the KITTE-side entrance also closes and guests must use the specified west-side hotel entrance.
3. Hilton Osaka Hotel

Hilton Osaka sits on the southwest side of the station complex, making it a useful compromise for JR Osaka Station, Nishi-Umeda and the Herbis transport zone. It works particularly well for travellers who want a conventional full-service hotel rather than accommodation inside a shopping or station tower.
The west/southwest position also keeps airport-bus logistics relatively simple without forcing you to stay far from JR Osaka. However, Hilton itself does not operate an airport shuttle, so do not interpret its airport-friendly location as door-to-door hotel transport.
- Best for: west-Umeda access, JR journeys, airport-bus users and travellers who prefer a full-service international hotel.
- Station side: southwest of JR Osaka Station, around Nishi-Umeda.
- Verified practical point: Hilton identifies Osaka Station as a nearby transport point while explicitly stating that hotel airport shuttle service is not available.
- Booking caution: airport transfers use public transport or public limousine-bus services rather than a Hilton-operated shuttle. Check the current airport-bus stop and departure before travel.
4. Hotel Intergate Osaka Umeda

Hotel Intergate is one of the most useful practical picks on the west/southwest side because its official access information is unusually specific: JR Osaka Station’s Sakurabashi Exit, Nishi-Umeda and Hanshin Osaka-Umeda all have published approaches.
It is also a strong choice when luggage and laundry matter more than a prestige address. The hotel explicitly offers baggage storage before check-in and after check-out, same-day self-service lockers, coin-operated washers and dryers, and a guest communal bath.
- Best for: longer stays, laundry, large luggage, Nishi-Umeda, Herbis-area airport buses and travellers who want a communal bath.
- Station side: west/southwest Umeda; the hotel identifies Sakurabashi Exit as its JR approach.
- Verified practical point: the communal bath is for hotel guests, and the hotel publishes both staffed luggage storage and self-service locker options.
- Booking caution: this side is much more logical for JR, Hanshin and Nishi-Umeda than for Hankyu Osaka-Umeda. Do not book it purely because the word “Umeda” appears in the name if Hankyu is your main railway.
5. Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka

Hotel Monterey Le Frere is better thought of as a Kitashinchi-side Umeda hotel than a JR Osaka Station hotel. That distinction is useful: Kitashinchi Station is close, while the hotel officially places JR Osaka Station and the main Umeda subway/private-rail stations farther away on foot.
The trade-off is a useful facility package for travellers returning after long sightseeing days. Hotel guests have access to the Trinite public bath and sauna facility, and the hotel has a laundrette with washers and dryers operating around the clock.
- Best for: Kitashinchi, evening dining, travellers who value a bath and laundry facilities.
- Station side: south of the main JR station complex, near Kitashinchi.
- Verified practical point: the hotel publishes a guest-only public bath/sauna and a 24-hour laundrette.
- Booking caution: despite the Umeda location, this is not a station-direct hotel. If you are catching early JR trains every day with children or large suitcases, the extra walk matters.
6. Villa Fontaine Grand Osaka Umeda

Villa Fontaine Grand is the clearest east-Umeda choice on this list. Its closest officially published approach is Higashi-Umeda on the Tanimachi Line, while Umeda on the Midosuji Line, Hanshin Osaka-Umeda, JR Osaka and Hankyu Osaka-Umeda all have separately documented routes.
The other reason to choose it is the spa. Its hotel-guest spa area includes a large public bath available to guests, with additional wellness facilities offered under separate conditions or charges.
- Best for: Higashi-Umeda, Sonezaki dining, Metro users and travellers who want an in-hotel spa/public-bath option.
- Station side: east Umeda.
- Verified practical point: the hotel is closest to Higashi-Umeda Exit 2 and publishes separate access for JR, Hankyu, Hanshin and the other Metro stations.
- Booking caution: this is the wrong side if your priority is the JR West Gate, Umekita underground platforms or Herbis airport buses. A hotel can be “six minutes from Osaka Station” and still be six minutes from the opposite side of the transport node you actually need.
7. APA Hotel & Resort Osaka Umeda Eki Tower

APA Hotel & Resort Osaka Umeda Eki Tower also belongs firmly in the east-Umeda category. The hotel identifies Higashi-Umeda Exit 4 as its nearest rail approach; JR Osaka Station’s Midosuji South Exit is farther away.
The advantage over a simple business hotel is the on-site facility range. Staying guests can use the large public bath, and the tower also contains laundromats, a convenience store and other resort-style facilities.
- Best for: Higashi-Umeda, travellers who want a large public bath and guests comfortable with a large urban hotel.
- Station side: east Umeda / Sonezaki.
- Verified practical point: the official access page distinguishes Higashi-Umeda Exit 4, Metro Umeda South Exit, Hankyu Osaka-Umeda Central Gate and JR Osaka Midosuji South Exit rather than presenting them as one station.
- Booking caution: JR Osaka is not the closest station. Standard-room layouts are designed around compact urban efficiency, so inspect the exact room category before booking for several people or a large amount of luggage.
8. Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE Osaka

Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE Osaka is one of the most balanced locations if you need both JR Osaka Station and Hankyu Osaka-Umeda. It sits above LINKS UMEDA beside Yodobashi, north of JR Osaka, with published access from JR’s Bridge Gate as well as Hankyu and Metro Umeda.
Families also get more concrete facilities than a vague “family-friendly” label. The hotel publishes a nursing room with a diaper-changing station and hot-water equipment for milk, plus specific multi-person room categories. There is also 24-hour self-service laundry.
- Best for: JR + Hankyu itineraries, shopping, Kyoto/Kobe day trips and families needing practical in-hotel facilities.
- Station side: north/northeast of JR Osaka Station, directly above LINKS UMEDA.
- Verified practical point: JR Bridge Gate, Hankyu Osaka-Umeda and Metro Umeda all have published routes; the hotel also publishes laundry and nursing facilities.
- Booking caution: the lobby is on an upper floor of the Yodobashi Umeda Tower complex, so the first arrival can feel less obvious than walking into a street-level hotel. KIX bus stopping patterns also vary: do not assume every airport departure or arrival stops at the hotel itself.
9. Hotel Vischio Osaka by Granvia

Hotel Vischio Osaka is a useful alternative when you want the north side without staying inside the busiest station or shopping towers. The hotel identifies JR Osaka Station’s Central Gate and Bridge Gate as its quickest approaches.
That north-side position works well for Grand Front, Yodobashi and Hankyu-side itineraries while keeping JR within a manageable walk. It is especially sensible for travellers who want a straightforward hotel base rather than direct station integration.
- Best for: JR day trips, north-Umeda shopping and travellers who want to be close to the hub without sleeping directly above it.
- Station side: north of JR Osaka Station.
- Verified practical point: the official route specifically directs travellers from JR Osaka Central Gate or Bridge Gate.
- Booking caution: this is not a station-direct property. The official approach includes outdoor/street-level sections and crossings, which matter more with suitcases, a stroller or poor weather.
10. InterContinental Osaka

InterContinental Osaka is the luxury north-side option for travellers who want Grand Front Osaka immediately around them while remaining within walking distance of JR Osaka, Metro Umeda and both private-rail Umeda stations.
The official route from JR Osaka Station uses the Central North side and the elevated connection through Grand Front. This is convenient during normal building hours, but it also creates the hotel’s most important navigation caveat: internal commercial-building routes should not be assumed to work identically late at night.
- Best for: luxury stays, Grand Front shopping, north-Umeda dining and travellers who still need access to several railway operators.
- Station side: north of JR Osaka Station in Grand Front Osaka.
- Verified practical point: the hotel publishes approaches from JR Osaka, Metro Umeda, Hankyu Osaka-Umeda and Hanshin Osaka-Umeda, plus separate airport-transfer guidance.
- Booking caution: check the hotel’s after-hours approach if arriving very late. The daytime elevated route passes through the Grand Front complex, and overnight access arrangements can differ.
11. Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda

Canopy by Hilton is the strongest fit for travellers who specifically want the Grand Green Osaka side of Umeda. It places the newer north/Umekita district at your door rather than treating it as somewhere to walk to from the older east-Umeda core.
It also has unusually clear family information. Hilton lists connecting rooms and cribs among its amenities and publishes a child bed-sharing rule, which makes it easier to evaluate than hotels that simply label themselves family-friendly without explaining occupancy conditions.
- Best for: Grand Green Osaka, north-Umeda stays, families seeking connecting-room options and travellers who prefer a newer lifestyle hotel.
- Station side: north/Umekita in Grand Green Osaka.
- Verified practical point: Hilton states that children under 13 can stay without an additional room charge when sharing a parent’s existing bed, while triple occupancy can require an extra-bed and/or breakfast charge; the exact booked room conditions still control.
- Booking caution: Hilton states that the hotel does not provide an airport shuttle. It is also not the pick for someone whose only objective is the shortest possible transfer from a conventional JR platform to a hotel lobby.
12. Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE OSAKA

Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE Osaka is the most route-specific recommendation in this guide: choose it when the Umekita/Grand Green side is exactly where you want to be. Its official access instructions place it close to JR Osaka Station’s Umekita Underground Gate and West Gate area, while Hankyu Osaka-Umeda is distinctly farther away.
This is particularly useful for passengers arriving by Haruka at Osaka Station’s underground platforms, travellers with heavy luggage and anyone spending significant time in Grand Green Osaka. The hotel also has self-service laundry and direct internal access to the separate UMEKITA ONSEN REN wellness facility.
- Best for: JR Umekita access, KIX rail arrivals, Grand Green Osaka, longer stays and large luggage.
- Station side: northwest/Umekita, in Grand Green Osaka South Tower.
- Verified practical point: the hotel publishes separate walking routes from JR Umekita Underground Gate, Hanshin Osaka-Umeda West Gate, Metro Umeda Kita Gate and Hankyu Osaka-Umeda Central Gates.
- Booking caution: this is not the shortest choice for Hankyu. The connected UMEKITA ONSEN REN is also a separate wellness facility with its own admission conditions rather than a standard complimentary hotel bath for every room plan.
Best Umeda hotels for Kyoto, Kobe and Himeji day trips
If you plan several intercity day trips, do not automatically choose whichever hotel is nearest the word “Umeda” on a map. Choose the railway first.
- For JR Kyoto, Kobe and Himeji: Hotel Granvia Osaka and THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL remove the most daily friction because they sit at JR Osaka itself. Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE Osaka is especially convenient for the newer west/Umekita side.
- For Hankyu Kyoto: Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE Osaka, Hotel Vischio Osaka and InterContinental Osaka keep you on the north side, closer to Hankyu Osaka-Umeda than west-Umeda hotels do.
- For Kobe: JR, Hankyu and Hanshin all offer useful routes from the Umeda area. Pick the hotel based on the railway you intend to use rather than assuming the stations share one concourse.
- For Himeji: a JR-oriented hotel is especially straightforward if you intend to use JR services west from Osaka.

Best Umeda side for KIX and Itami airport transfers
There is no single “airport side” of Umeda because rail and limousine buses use different infrastructure.
For KIX by JR: the Haruka serves Osaka Station’s underground platforms. West Gate and Umekita-oriented hotels therefore deserve extra attention. THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL and Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE Osaka are particularly logical, while Hotel Granvia Osaka also publishes a West Gate approach for passengers using the underground platforms.
For KIX by limousine bus: Herbis Osaka and Hankyu Sanbangai are major station-area stops, with some current services using other nearby stops or selected hotel drop-offs. West-side hotels such as THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL, Hilton Osaka and Hotel Intergate reduce the amount of luggage hauling if your chosen bus uses Herbis.
For Itami: limousine-bus stop patterns also vary by departure. Do not choose a hotel based solely on an old map showing a particular Osaka Station stop; verify the current timetable for your travel date.

Best Umeda hotels for families
Umeda is convenient for families because it can reduce transfers, but “family hotel” is not a room type. A two-bed room does not automatically accommodate two adults and two children.
Start with occupancy, then location. Hotel Granvia publishes dedicated family/triple categories. Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE has multi-person room categories plus a nursing room. Canopy by Hilton publishes connecting-room and crib availability as well as a specific child bed-sharing policy. THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL also lists connecting-room options in selected inventory.
For stroller logistics, station-direct or west/Umekita hotels can be easier than repeatedly crossing the full underground complex. If your family relies mainly on Hankyu, however, Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE can make more sense than a technically closer-to-JR west-side hotel.
Best Umeda hotels for shopping
For Grand Front Osaka, Grand Green Osaka and the north side, choose InterContinental Osaka, Canopy by Hilton, Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE, Hotel Vischio or Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE.
Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE is especially useful for Yodobashi and LINKS UMEDA. Hotel Granvia puts the station shopping complexes immediately around you. East-side hotels such as Villa Fontaine Grand and APA Umeda Eki Tower make more sense when your evenings are centred on Sonezaki, Higashi-Umeda and the eastern underground areas.
Best Umeda hotels for late arrivals
Late arrival changes the meaning of “connected.” Shopping centres, pedestrian decks and some internal entrances do not necessarily operate all night.
Hotel Granvia publishes a different entrance for the overnight period when one station-side entrance closes. THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL likewise directs overnight guests to its west-side main entrance after the KITTE-side route closes. Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE publishes restricted hours for its second-floor entrance, and north-side hotels connected through commercial complexes may require an alternative late-night approach.
If your train or flight is due in very late, save the hotel’s official after-hours access instructions before departure rather than relying on a daytime walking route from a map app.
Best Umeda hotels with large luggage
The shortest map distance is not always the easiest suitcase route. Elevators, station gates, road crossings and airport-bus stops matter more than a difference of one or two blocks.
For minimum movement from JR, start with Hotel Granvia Osaka or THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL. For an arrival on the underground Haruka platforms, west/Umekita properties are particularly logical. Hotel Intergate is also worth considering because it explicitly publishes pre-check-in and post-check-out luggage storage plus self-service lockers.
Hotel Vischio is close to JR but its official route includes street-level walking and crossings. That is manageable for most travellers, but it is not equivalent to a direct station connection when you have several suitcases.
What if you are using the Shinkansen at Shin-Osaka?
Osaka Station is not a Shinkansen station. The Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen uses Shin-Osaka. From Umeda, you normally make a short onward connection between Osaka and Shin-Osaka using conventional JR services or, depending on your hotel, the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line.
If you are taking one or two Shinkansen journeys during a longer Osaka stay, Umeda remains practical. If you have an early bullet train every morning or are only sleeping in Osaka between long-distance rail journeys, staying at Shin-Osaka can remove another transfer.
Umeda hotel FAQs
Are Osaka Station and Umeda Station the same?
No. JR Osaka Station, Hankyu Osaka-Umeda, Hanshin Osaka-Umeda, Osaka Metro Umeda, Higashi-Umeda and Nishi-Umeda are separate stations. They form one large connected transport district, but they have different ticket gates, platforms and entrances.
Which Umeda station is best for Kyoto?
It depends on the railway. JR Osaka Station is convenient for JR services toward Kyoto, while Hankyu Osaka-Umeda is the Umeda terminal for Hankyu services toward Kyoto-Kawaramachi. Your Kyoto itinerary and destination within Kyoto should decide which is more useful.
Which hotels are closest to JR Osaka Station?
Hotel Granvia Osaka is directly connected to JR Osaka Station, while THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL has direct West Gate access. Other hotels on this list are short walks from particular station sides, but the relevant gate matters.
Can I take a direct train from Kansai Airport to Osaka Station?
Yes. JR airport services reach Osaka Station, including trains using the newer underground platforms. Check your service and platform on the day of travel because airport rail operations can change.
Are there airport buses from Osaka Station?
Yes. Airport limousine buses serve the wider Osaka Station/Umeda area. Herbis Osaka and Hankyu Sanbangai are important stops, but not every departure uses every stop. Check the operator timetable for your exact airport, direction and departure.
Should I stay near Herbis Osaka for the airport bus?
If your chosen service departs from or arrives at Herbis, west/southwest Umeda can substantially reduce suitcase movement. THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL, Hilton Osaka and Hotel Intergate are better aligned with that side than hotels east of the station.
Is the Umeda underground network easy with luggage?
It is extensive, but that does not always mean simple. Multiple rail operators, level changes and similarly named stations can make the first journey confusing. With large luggage, follow the hotel’s verified gate and elevator route rather than simply entering the nearest underground doorway.
Can I leave luggage at my Umeda hotel after checkout?
Policies differ by hotel, so do not assume every property offers the same service or storage period. Hotel Intergate explicitly publishes pre-check-in and post-check-out storage plus same-day self-service lockers. For another hotel, verify its current policy before relying on storage.
Is Umeda better than Namba for staying in Osaka?
Choose Umeda when JR day trips to Kyoto, Kobe or Himeji, Shin-Osaka connections or northern Osaka transport are major parts of the itinerary. Choose Namba when Dotonbori, southern Osaka and Nankai access are more important. Neither area is universally more convenient.
Which side of Umeda is best for shopping?
North Umeda is especially useful for Grand Front, Grand Green, LUCUA, Yodobashi and LINKS UMEDA. The station core and east side provide easy access to additional department stores, underground shopping and dining areas.
Which Umeda hotels have a communal bath?
Hotel Intergate Osaka Umeda, Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka, Villa Fontaine Grand Osaka Umeda and APA Hotel & Resort Osaka Umeda Eki Tower publish communal or large public bathing facilities for guests. Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE has a connection to UMEKITA ONSEN REN, but that wellness facility has separate admission conditions.
Which Umeda hotel should you book?
- Mostly travelling by JR: start with Hotel Granvia Osaka or THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL.
- Arriving from KIX on the Haruka with large luggage: prioritise THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL or Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE Osaka; Hotel Granvia also has a documented West Gate route.
- Using Hankyu repeatedly for Kyoto or Kobe: look first at Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE Osaka, Hotel Vischio Osaka or InterContinental Osaka.
- Using a Herbis airport bus: focus on THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL, Hilton Osaka or Hotel Intergate Osaka Umeda.
- Wanting Higashi-Umeda plus a bath/spa: choose between Villa Fontaine Grand Osaka Umeda and APA Hotel & Resort Osaka Umeda Eki Tower.
- Wanting Kitashinchi nightlife with bath and laundry: Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka fits that route better than a north-Umeda hotel.
- Travelling as a family: compare the exact family, connecting or multi-person inventory at Hotel Granvia Osaka, Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE, Canopy by Hilton and THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL before comparing rates.
- Wanting Grand Front luxury: InterContinental Osaka is the north-side choice.
- Wanting the Grand Green/Umekita district itself: choose Canopy by Hilton or Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE Osaka.
The practical rule is simple: book the railway side you will use most often, then choose the hotel. In Umeda, that decision usually saves more time than chasing a property that looks a few hundred metres closer on a general map.
