Lagunasia, the theme park at Laguna Ten Bosch in Gamagori, Aichi, combines winter lights with theatre, projection and fountain shows. For 2026–2027, the important detail is that each programme has its own end date. Holy Christmas ends on January 3, 2027; the Neige winter projection programme continues until February 28.

From Nagoya, plan in this order: choose the date and show, check the park’s closing time, then match the Gamagori shuttle and your return train. “Winter illumination” is not a promise that every evening has the same performances or ticket price.

Programme dates for winter 2026–2027

  • Neige 360-degree projection: November 8, 2026–February 28, 2027, at Zephyros Square
  • Neige 10th-anniversary version: November 8, 2026–January 3, 2027; the regular version begins on January 4
  • Holy Christmas: November 8, 2026–January 3, 2027, at Art Theater
  • Light-up Ceremony: programme period November 8–December 31, 2026, at Joyamare Beach; check the day’s schedule for actual performances
  • Matsuken fountain show: November 14, 2026–February 14, 2027, at Luna Porto

If the Christmas musical dance show is the family’s main priority, select a date within the Holy Christmas period. A later January or February visit can instead be planned around the regular Neige version. The lighting ceremony’s programme ending on December 31 does not establish a midnight countdown event.

Fireworks are limited to specific dates

The separate La Rêve de Noël fireworks programme is listed for December 24, 25, 26, 29 and 30, 2026, starting at 20:15 near Luna Porto. It combines fireworks with screen imagery, fountains and performers, making it an option for visitors prepared to stay later in the evening.

The special fireworks version of the Matsuken fountain show is listed for November 14, December 12, December 19 and December 27. These dates should not be confused with the wider fountain-show season. Nor should December 30 fireworks be treated as evidence for a December 31 celebration.

Before choosing a 20:15 performance, work out the journey back to Gamagori Station. Leaving the viewing area, walking to the shuttle stop and waiting for a bus all take time after the show itself.

Admission, ride Passports and paid viewing seats

The official ticket page distinguishes admission from a Passport that also covers eligible attractions. If shows and lights are your focus, start by comparing admission tickets; add the ride element only if you expect to use it. Some experiences are excluded from the Passport, so individual conditions still matter.

The published November–December 2026 admission bands are ¥2,300–¥2,900 for adults, defined here as junior-high-school age and above; ¥1,300–¥1,800 for elementary-school children; and ¥800 for preschool children aged three and above. Adult Passports range from ¥4,600 to ¥5,200. These figures are not a guarantee of January or February prices. Use the date selector on the official ticket page, rather than assuming every weekday or weekend has one fixed price.

Paid, advance-reservable viewing seats have been announced for Holy Christmas. however, the official page still says details are coming soon; the exact price, child-seat rules, cancellation terms and sales-opening time are not yet confirmed. For now, decide whether that type of seat matters to your visit, then check the date, performance, seating category and separate-admission requirement when sales details appear. A standard park ticket should never be described as an already-reserved close-up seat.

Build the route around the show venues

Find Art Theater, Zephyros Square, Luna Porto and Joyamare Beach on the official digital park map. After arriving, confirm your priority performances and fit food and photographs between them. This is easier than walking from one attractive light display to another and only later discovering a theatre start time.

The season’s illumination page introduces champagne-gold arches, three domes linked by illuminated tunnels, water-pattern projections and a marine-blue illuminated palace. For photography, choosing one gold-toned and one blue-toned setting can be more manageable than giving every display equal time. Water rides have their own usage conditions; being able to view the lighting does not mean every boat experience is free.

The Christmas market can provide a break between shows. If a particular food stall is the reason you want to visit, check the current vendor and menu information first. Keep the evening anchored to the performances and return transport you have chosen.

The official route guide gives about 40 minutes by JR rapid train from Nagoya to Gamagori, followed by roughly 15 minutes on the free shuttle bus. Those are journey estimates, excluding waiting, station changes and road delays. Festival Market’s front stop is the closest shuttle stop for Lagunasia; you still need to walk to the park entrance.

Shuttles have a passenger limit. If a bus is full, visitors must wait for the next service. Open the official access and shuttle timetable before travelling and check both directions. “Free shuttle available” does not mean a bus will necessarily be waiting after whichever show you choose.

From the Hamamatsu or Shizuoka direction, Mikawa-Otsuka Station is another possibility. The operator gives a walk of about 20 minutes, but consider whether that suits your group after an evening show. First-time visitors unfamiliar with the surrounding roads may find the Gamagori shuttle option easier to plan.

Day trip or overnight stay?

With Nagoya as your base, leave the afternoon and evening for Lagunasia rather than combining it with a packed programme far away. If the 20:15 fireworks are the priority and you do not want to leave early for transport, compare accommodation around Gamagori, checking the actual date, room availability and route to the hotel.

If you only want a city evening stroll, the Nagoya winter illuminations guide can help you compare central areas before committing to Gamagori. Lagunasia makes most sense when you want to combine a theme park with scheduled entertainment, rather than simply find lights near dinner.

Finally, check the date’s park hours and official entertainment schedule. A clear date, suitable ticket, chosen performance and workable return are the four parts that make the evening fit together.
